GUTTER & STARS wine dinner
Join us for a rather special wine night in June, co-hosted by winemaker Chris Wilson from Cambridge’s first & only winery, Gutter & Stars. Founded in 2020, Chris makes award-winning English wines from the basement of the Grade-ll listed Chesterton Mill. The wines have received stellar reviews from the likes of Decanter, The Guardian and Jancis Robinson. Last year Gutter & Stars also won the Drinks Business Best Design & Packaging award. We’ll be matching some beautiful fish dishes alongside some stunning wines for what’s set to be a wonderful evening.

In our latest wine dinner, Hal Wilson from Cambridge Wine Merchants will be providing two wines to taste against each other, à la Judgment! A fun and informal opportunity to taste some incredible wines, matched with some beautiful dishes like Cornish Pan-Fried John Dory, Morels, Green Garlic & Butter Sauce, and Sea-Trout Wellington, Ikura, Asparagus & Seaweed Creme Crue.

We’re joining forces with Hal Wilson, from Cambridge Wine Merchants once again for this special wine dinner night where we’re exploring the fascinating wine region in Languedoc-Roussillon. On the menu, expect such delights as Poached White Asparagus, Brown Shrimps, Tarragon & Surfine Capers paired with a 2019 Roger Goulart, Gran Reserva Cava ‘Josep Valls’, Catalunya. Spain, and Escalivada with Sardines & Romesco with 2021 La Terre Promise, Domaine Treloar, Côtes Catalanes. France, among more!
Fin Boys Pasta & Shellfish workshop with lunch
Time to ditch the Sunday night takeaway and learn some new skills! Join Jay for an informal, but informative workshop where participants will get the opportunity to learn about – and have a go at – making fresh pasta, along with preparing shellfish. Starting at 10am, we’ll also provide a lunch for the group at 1pm, of the dishes we create, along with bread, salad and wine. Everybody will go home with their delicious creations, as well as a Fin Boys apron and tote bag. The perfect Sunday activity to do alone, with friends and family, or to gift, where our Fin Boys vouchers can be redeemed against workshops.

We’re taking you to the top of the boot, with Peter Rowe, from Liberty Wines as we pair some incredible wines from the Veneto region with some extra special and inspired dishes, including Baccala Mantecato; Venetian Style Whipped Salted Cod with Crostini, Agretti Con Granchio; Monksbeard with Dorset Crab, Bottarga, Dried Chilli & EVOO, and Riso Vialone Nano Con Vongole; Risotto with Clams, Trevisse, Flat Parsley.
Valentine’s Dinner - WEDNESDAY 14 FEB
Join us this Valentine’s Day for a super special evening of beautiful food, and great company, with dishes including Torched Mackerel, Sweet Onions, Nasturtiums & Creme Crue, of course plenty of oysters, and finishing with Caramel Mousse, Stracciatella Gelato & Roasted Pears. Delightful!

While our Valentine's Day dinner has sold out, we are taking bookings this week for our dinner boxes and are packaging up a rather lovely feast just perfect for celebrating with a loved one or bestie. With minimal culinary skills required, everything you need is included to recreate the Fin Boys magic at home!

Tuna night!
We've secured the promise of a whopper of a tuna fish from a small fishing boat in Brixham in the southwest and will be breaking it down for a special one-off tuna night! We've created a gorgeous menu harnessing exciting flavour combinations to really make the most of this incredibly versatile catch.

Delights include Carpaccio Di Branzino: thinly sliced raw Sea Bass with Heirloom Tomatoes, Golden Oregano and Tuscan Evoo, with a 2020 Organic Vermentino and our Nemesis, flourless Chocolate Cake to finish!
